“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I’m about to do today?”

When I was young, every time my father and I see Sekolah Menengah Tunku Abdul Rahman (STAR) he always said that he would wish to have his son enter this school. As fated, due to some inexcusable circumstances I never make it to be a STAR student...

Fast forward to year 2007, the chance to witness the greatness of STAR came knocking at my door. Then, Anda Dilahirkan Berjaya (ADB) was just first introduced to the public. A good friend of mine — who is a STAROBA (STAR Old Boys Association) — proposed the idea that I should share ADB with the graduating batch at STAR. I was excited and quickly accepted the offer. And so, I was set to share ADB at STAR.
During my seminar there, it is undeniable that these students are brilliant academically. However like most majority of young people out there, they do not have a goal in life. Most of them do not know what they want to do after college (more like what to take in college) and so I taught them about four basic questions about life and helped them realize their true calling.
On the other hand, I got my fair share of understanding the true meaning of brotherhood. You see; other than knowing that STAR is an elite school, it is also legendary for its spirit of brotherhood among its students. The spirit of brotherhood is like an alien to me because sadly to admit, I never really experienced this kind of bond. Here are some pictures I’d like to share with you:
Year 2007

Year 2008

Finally I’d like to thank Mancha and STAROBA80 for giving me a chance to ‘enter’ STAR even though not as its student. At least one of my long lost wishes did come true. I hope that I have many many more memories with STAR in years to come.

Till then, Cheers!
